My old cd sounds way better. I actually emailed the label (Universal) and was told that the vinyl was cut from digital remastered files at cd resolution. You seem to focus a lot on the domestic playback issues related to high resolution digital audio and I will agree with most of them, but on the other hand some of the information there actually explains a lot of why I believe high quality 24bit chains used in the best Professional Studio's controlled environment does have a big impact on sound quality when transposed to vinyl records without further digital conversions (or any kind of digital processing) at home or anywhere else.Vinyl Gourmethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02852065931691327704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3325537738271921489.post-40176233742332238062015-02-19T05:42:14.397-08:002015-02-19T05:42:14.397-08:00Here's the article to support my details on st...Here's the article to support my details on studio digital: http://xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/neil-young.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3325537738271921489.post-11347017428203419682015-02-19T05:40:51.556-08:002015-02-19T05:40:51.556-08:00Sorry but any higher sampling frequency above what...Sorry but any higher sampling frequency above what the human ear can hear 44.1 kHz will add distortion to the sound. All you need on your computer is 16 Bit as the studios store there code in the extra 'letters' of the hexadecimal word and are extra storage for the studios data at 24 bit. Personally I use line in to computer at 32% volume to deaden background buzzing. Sounds great in my car!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3325537738271921489.post-89229834533687796042015-02-18T17:47:12.635-08:002015-02-18T17:47:12.635-08:00Vinyl is flawed but it is better than digital. I have a dsd dac with hires audio source both pcm 24bit/352.8Khz and double dsd 1bit/5.6Mhz played via Jriver V19. Though my digital setup sounds better than conventional digital/cd player, it was outclassed by my analog rig (vpi / benz micro / musical surroundings / cinemag setup) in so many ways.

I can listen to my analog setup the whole day without fatigue as compared to my digital setup maximum 2-3 albums only.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3325537738271921489.post-78012245769387056612015-02-18T17:04:00.169-08:002015-02-18T17:04:00.169-08:00Everything you are saying wrong.
